Beatrix and Hestia is a collection of narrative, mostly black and white photographs about two characters, a unicorn girl and a crow girl. They are sisters. It is not a children’s book.
The unicorn girl leaves home suddenly to seek adventures without telling her sister. The crow girl follows to search for her. It was photographed on location over a two year period.  The book is intended to be a visual narrative with text used in a minimal and abstract way.
Beatrix and Hestia is written by Violet Singer and Paula Bullwinkel, and includes brief quotes by Shakespeare, J.D. Salinger, Rumi, and others. It’s published by Blurb. Click here to view.
